Confessions: what your hosts have been up to this week...
As always, your hosts Angus and Leon have been talking about birds a fair bit in the office recently, and this week the buzzard got a special mention once again after your MD Leon decided to get one drawn onto him for life last Tuesday (pictured.) So, you may be asking "guys, why did you choose a buzzard in the first place and what does it mean?".
Well, the buzzard is said to be both magical and fearless, and it has been a symbol in the Kennedy family for donkeys years. Unlike many birds, they don't need to flap their wings much but instead they soar on nature's wind never allowing themselves to be hassled by smaller birds that flap around them trying to attack - when they journey through the sky, they take their own course.
Spiritually, their vision is so good that nothing passes them by and you cannot cross a buzzard for it will see everything- if one pays you a visit just know that it knows everything about you! The spirit of the buzzard is forward thinking, and their patience allows them to be happy to sit on a post for hours contemplating the world- or in our case we stay chill while an insurer waits 3 weeks to confirm an extension on the morning of check out!
Leon Kennedy, Blue Buzzard's MD says "for me the buzzard doesn't just stand for the business that we started, it's the ability to somehow keep soaring high when life goes wrong".
So, that's it from us this week. As you read, Angus is away with the kids at Center Parcs in Bedford probably catapulting himself (way too violently) down the waterslides and Leon's back in Rochester steering the ship along with the slightly-obese office sausage dog (only kidding, she's actually very obese but making moves daily).
